Reykjanes is a striking geological landscape shaped by geothermal energy, tectonic movement, and ongoing volcanic activity. This tour is ideal for those who want to experience the raw and ever-changing nature of Iceland.
Located along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, the peninsula sits where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates slowly drift apart, around 2 cm each year. This movement has created a landscape defined by volcanic systems, geothermal fields, and frequent seismic activity.
In recent years, the area around Grindavík has entered a new volcanic phase, with multiple eruptions following intense earthquake activity. While active lava cannot be guaranteed, Reykjanes remains one of the most dynamic places in Iceland to witness these natural forces.

We offer pick-up and drop-off locations in and around central Reykjavík outside most hotels or well known landmarks. For your convenience we offer pickup right from the Keflavík airport as well for a swift start to your journey in Iceland.
Anywhere around Reykjavík area is a quick walk from where we can pick you up. As the roads connect to Keflavík airport further away, we can pick you up on any surrounding areas between Reykjavík and Keflavík airport.

2Geothermal Area Krysuvik
This area in the Reykjanes peninsula is a fascinating and spectacular experience for all nature lovers. With hot and constant geothermal heat and energy, you can witness the hot bubbling water around the openings as well as the mud baths further away.
