    Pyramids of Giza

You will visit Giza Located on the Giza Plateau near Cairo, Egypt. Built during Egypt’s Fourth Dynasty (c. 2600–2500 BCE). Three main pyramids: Khufu (Great Pyramid) – The oldest and Largest of the three and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Built around 2580–2560 BCE. Originally about 148 meters tall (now 137 m). Made of more than 2.3 million limestone Khafre – slightly smaller, with some casing stones still visible. Appears taller because it sits on higher ground. Retains some of its original smooth casing stones at the top. Built for Pharaoh Khafre, Khufu’s son. Menkaure – smallest of the three. Lower part was covered in red granite, giving it a distinct look. Built for Pharaoh Menkaure, Khafre’s son. Great Sphinx A massive limestone statue with the body of a lion and the head of Pharaoh Khafre. Built around 2500 BCE. Symbolizes strength, wisdom, and royal power. Located near Khafre’s pyramid and his Valley Temple.
