Your exciting journey begins with a pickup from your hotel, the airport, or the train station in Reykjavík. To ensure the best possible experience, we recommend booking a flight or train that arrives before 9:00 AM.
Begin your journey with pickup from Reykjavík airport or your hotel, then set off to explore the famous Golden Circle along with the hidden gem Kerið Crater. Visit Þingvellir National Park, the only UNESCO World Heritage Site on Iceland’s mainland and the site of the country’s ancient parliament. Continue to the Geysir Geothermal Area, where eruptions typically last 1–2 minutes before subsiding, repeating in dramatic cycles.
Then admire the magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall, a two-tiered cascade plunging powerfully into a canyon. On sunny days, mist from the falls often creates shimmering rainbows, giving the waterfall its name.
Next, visit Friðheimar Tomato Farm, a popular filming location. Explore Iceland’s unique geothermal greenhouses, taste fresh organic tomatoes, and meet the gentle Icelandic horses. You may also choose to enjoy lunch here at your own expense.
Finally, stop at Kerið Crater (admission included), famous for its vivid green lake and colorful volcanic slopes. Formed around 3,000 years ago during a volcanic eruption, Kerið features a striking inverted cone shape. Overnight in a four-star hotel in a southern Icelandic town. If weather conditions permit, you may have the chance to see the Northern Lights near your hotel in the evening.
After breakfast, we travel to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, one of Iceland’s most iconic natural landmarks. Massive icebergs break off from the glacier and drift peacefully across the lagoon.
Nearby, Diamond Beach is a favorite among photographers, where chunks of ice scattered across the black sand glisten like diamonds under the sunlight.
Seasonal Experience (included, choose one based on travel dates): [November – April: 3-hour Blue Ice Cave Adventure] (includes transportation, English-speaking guide, professional glacier gear, and safety equipment) Board a specially modified super jeep to traverse the rugged wilderness of Vatnajökull National Park. Led by a professional guide and fully equipped with safety gear, venture deep into a naturally formed crystal-blue ice cave sculpted over thousands of years. The cave’s interior reveals deep, translucent blue hues, constantly changing with the seasons—making each visit a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
[May – October: Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Boat Tour] (30–40 minutes) During the melting season, enjoy a ride on an amphibious boat or speedboat (depending on package level), navigating between towering floating icebergs. Observe ancient glacial ice up close and, if lucky, spot seals resting on the ice. Surrounded by serene waters, you’ll experience the ancient echoes of calving glaciers and fully immerse yourself in this breathtaking “natural ice vault.” After the tour, proceed to your hotel in a southern town for overnight stay. If weather conditions permit, winter groups may have the chance to search for the Northern Lights near the hotel in the evening.
After breakfast, head to the lava field of Eldhraun Lava Field, formed by volcanic eruptions and flowing lava. Pass through the southernmost village on Iceland’s mainland, Vík, where a charming red-roof church sits atop a hill, offering a picturesque and romantic view.
Continue to the famous Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, known for its striking basalt columns—an iconic and highly photogenic natural wonder.
Then take a shuttle to visit the dramatic DC-3 Plane Wreck. Although it was the result of an aviation incident, no lives were lost, and today it stands as one of Iceland’s most unique man-made attractions. Weathered by time and elements, the wreck exudes a haunting yet captivating beauty.
Next, drive to two of the South Coast’s most waterfalls: Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Here, experience the region’s breathtaking landscapes—both powerful and serene—and enjoy the waterfalls from different angles for unique perspectives. Afterwards, return to Reykjavík, marking the end of a memorable journey. Drop-off is available at your hotel or the airport.
After breakfast, depart from the hotel and head to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula in western Iceland. Often referred to as “Miniature Iceland,” this region showcases a wide variety of Iceland’s unique landscapes, allowing you to experience the country’s natural beauty in just one day. First, visit Kirkjufell (also known as “Church Mountain” or “Hat Mountain”), one of the most iconic and frequently photographed landmarks on the peninsula. Its distinctive shape makes the origin of its name quite obvious.
Next, continue to the Lóndrangar sea cliffs, where towering basalt sea stacks rise dramatically along the coastline, highlighting the remarkable volcanic geology of Iceland.
After the visit, head to the picturesque seaside village of Arnarstapi, where you can enjoy lunch while taking in the stunning coastal scenery.
Finally, visit the famous black wooden church of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula — Búðakirkja (Black Church of Búðir). Surrounded by snow-capped mountains and waterfalls, the church creates a striking and isolated atmosphere. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred either to the airport or back to your hotel in Reykjavik.
