What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Our guide will come to pick you up from your hotel or your point of location, you will meet him at the entrance or at the information desk wearing a t-shirt with our company logo.
From Mbale town go to North Road and ask for public taxis or private car to Budadiri, tell them to drop you or you drive to Mt Elgon Sasa trail information center, there you will see our office.
What to expect
Day 1:
Arrival and Trek to Shiloko Camp
- After breakfast, take a boda boda ride to Mount Elgon National Park Bushiyi trail gate (1,800m asl).
- Meet your guide, porter, and chef, and register into the park.
- Start your trek to Shiloko Camp (2,600m asl), rest, and enjoy the evening with overnight camping.
Day 2:
Trek to Dubi Camp
- After an early morning breakfast, hike through the steep and refreshing lush forests to Dubi Camp (3,600m asl).
- Stay there, have lunch, dinner, and enjoy the evening camping fire stories.
Day 3:
Trek to Wagagai Peak and Back to Shiloko Camp
- After breakfast, traverse through the beautiful panoramic heather zone on your way to Wagagai Peak.
- Enjoy the views of other Mount Elgon peaks, including Masaba, Koitobos, and Sudek.
- Celebrate conquering Wagagai Peak and descend down to Shiloko Camp.
Day 4:
Departure
- After breakfast and a peaceful night, head down to Bushiyi trail gate to sign out and receive certificates.
- Head to your next destination.
