Discover your own preferences across five Chinese tea profiles, rather than needing to know what to order in advance. A seasonal welcome tea opens the session, followed by a hosted exploration of aroma, flavour, texture and the stories behind the cups, with traditional Chinese tea snacks.
Your host brews and makes the differences approachable, connecting origin and processing to what you can smell and taste. A maximum of four guests keeps the conversation personal and gives you space to ask questions.
This 90-minute experience is for a broad introduction and comparison across five teas. Our 60-minute Three-Tea Tasting instead focuses on the changing character of three teas through successive infusions. Both welcome beginners at TINGTAI in M50 Creative Park.

Meeting and pickup
Join us at TINGTAI inside M50 Creative Park, 50 Moganshan Road, Putuo District, Shanghai. Look for the TINGTAI entrance. Detailed arrival instructions will be shared with confirmed guests before the session. Tian An 1000 Trees is a nearby landmark, not the meeting point.
What to expect
As your host brews, smell, sip and compare. Notice which aromas draw you in, how each tea feels in your mouth and what remains after a sip. Explore how origin, processing and brewing shape a tea's character, with stories connected to what is in your cup.
No specialist vocabulary or prior knowledge is needed. Ask questions, describe flavours in your own words and discover styles you might enjoy drinking again. Traditional Chinese cha dian tea snacks accompany the tasting.
A maximum of four guests leaves room for personal questions and shared discoveries in a modern, comfortable tea space. Hosting is available in English and Mandarin. The session ends at the same location; neighbourhood sightseeing is not included.
