The appointment is set at the Argana Crafts Shop Complex Integrated Crafts Complex in Essaouira, easily accessible by foot, taxi or car, with parking available nearby.

What to expect

Upon arrival at Argana Crafts Shop Complex, you will be greeted by artisans with Moroccan tea and local pastries. An introduction to Berber weaving will immerse you in the history and symbolism of traditional patterns.

Then, guided by a master craftsman and the women of the cooperative, you will learn to use a traditional loom and handle hand-spun wool and Berber patterns. You will make your own woven creation, applying ancestral techniques.

Throughout the workshop, you will be able to exchange with the craftswomen, discover their craft and capture souvenir photos. At the end, you will leave with your woven piece, an authentic memory of this cultural immersion.
