What to expect

During this immersive workshop, you will dive into the world of embroidery and traditional Moroccan sewing alongside passionate local craftswomen. After an introduction to the history and symbolism of embroidered patterns, you will discover the materials used, such as silk yarns, fine cotton and handcrafted fabrics. Guided step by step, you will learn different embroidery stitches (stem stitch, throw stitch, chain stitch) as well as basic sewing techniques. You will create your own custom textile piece, such as an embroidered square, a linen accessory or a small hand-sewn clutch. In a warm atmosphere, you can exchange with the artisans on their know-how while enjoying Moroccan tea accompanied by local pastries.
