This is more than just a jungle tour — it's an authentic experience led by local guides who truly live in the Amazon. You’ll explore two different ecosystems, visit a macaw clay lick, enjoy night walks and boat tours, and sleep in eco-lodges run by local families.

Arrival & Pre-Tour Activities Passengers arriving early in the morning can be picked up from the bus terminal or airport and brought to our office. Those who arrive before 8:30 AM are welcome to store their larger luggage and join us for a complimentary visit to the local market. During this free bonus activity (lasting 1 to 1.5 hours), you'll taste a variety of local fruits (included) and have time to purchase your own breakfast if desired — a relaxed and flavorful start to your Amazon adventure! Passengers arriving after 8:30 AM can prepare at our office and wait until the group meets to depart together by boat around 10:30 AM. We accept same-day tour participants until 1:30 PM at the latest. After that time, we recommend coordinating with us to begin the tour the following day.

Passengers arriving later can prepare at our office before we depart by boat around 10:30 AM. You can store large bags at our office. Please arrive with a small backpack prepared with everything needed for the next few days and keep valuables with you at all times. We accept same-day arrivals until 1:30 PM. After that, we recommend you to starts the next day.
Your journey begins with a boat ride along the Madre de Dios River, surrounded by the lush sights and sounds of the jungle. After a guided walk into the rainforest, enjoy a canoe crossing on Sandoval Lake to reach your eco-lodge. Upon arrival, you’ll have time to settle in, unpack, and explore the lodge and its surroundings (approx. 2 hrs). Later, as the temperature drops, take an afternoon wildlife boat tour — spot caimans, birds, and river otters as the sun sets. after that your guide will decide whether the guided night walk takes place before or after dinner, depending on conditions. With flashlights in hand, you'll search for snakes, spiders, frogs, and other nocturnal creatures — an unforgettable jungle experience under a starlit sky. info: You'll stay at a family-run eco-lodge on the highest point of Sandoval Lake. Rooms are clean and simple, with mosquito nets, drinking water, and electricity from 6:30–9:30 PM via generator, enough to charge your devices.
Wake up around 5:00 AM (or earlier) to watch a beautiful sunrise over Sandoval Lake, then search for blue-and-yellow macaws (guacamayos), often seen early in the area. You may also spot giant river otters. Return to the lodge to pack up and check out at 10:00 AM, followed by a late breakfast. Later at night we would move to other lodge to see another ecosystem. After you will enjoy a guided jungle walk to learn about Brazil nut trees and possibly see snakes, frogs, spiders, or monkeys — all in their natural habitat. Remember: this is not a zoo — everything is wild and real. After the walk, return to the lodge for lunch and some time to rest.
Between 2:00 and 3:00 PM, we leave Sandoval Lake and head to a second riverside lodge, also operated by us, located outside the reserve. This change of location allows you to experience a different ecosystem and improves your chances of spotting capybaras, sloths and different types of caimans and capybaras. Arrival is expected around 5:30–6:00 PM. You’ll have time to settle in, relax, and shower before heading out. Your guide will let you know the departure time for the evening wildlife excursion,which takes place by boat, where we’ll search for caimans, capybaras, and other nocturnal animals along the riverbanks.
Your last day begins with a hearty breakfast at 8:00 AM, followed by check-out around 9:00 AM. We’ll then head out for a final jungle walk (1–2 hours), enjoying the peaceful surroundings and saying goodbye to the rainforest. Back at the lodge, enjoy a relaxing lunch before taking time to rest in a hammock, soak in the sounds of the jungle, or share photos and memories with the fellow travelers you’ve met along the way.
Around 2:00 PM, we’ll leave the lodge and return to the city (1-2 hs travel time), where you can collect your stored luggage. From there, we’ll coordinate your transfer to the airport, bus terminal, or your next hotel — wherever your journey continues.
