After hotel pickup in Iquitos, we’ll head into the jungle to board a boat and begin our journey along the Amazon River. As we navigate, we’ll admire the lush rainforest vegetation and the giant floating Victoria Regia water lilies. With some luck, we may spot local wildlife such as the tiny pygmy marmoset, sloths, poison dart frogs, or the black caiman. We’ll then visit a serpentarium to safely observe fascinating species like the anaconda, followed by a tasting of traditional liquors made from tree bark and roots. A typical Amazonian lunch at a local restaurant will be served before meeting the Yahua people, who will share their culture, dances, and rituals. To finish the adventure, we’ll set out to spot the famous pink river dolphins before returning to your hotel in Iquitos.
