1Complejo Arqueologico El Brujo - Museo Cao
The tour begins with a departure at either 9:40 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. We’ll head to the Chicama Valley to visit the El Brujo Archaeological Complex, one of the main ceremonial centers of the Mochica culture. Accompanied by our guide, we’ll explore its main ruins and learn about the history, rituals, and artistic expressions of this ancient civilization. We’ll continue with a visit to the Cao Museum, where we’ll discover the story of the famous Lady of Cao, a Mochica ruler whose discovery provided important insights into the role of women in ancient Peru. We’ll admire the objects, ornaments, and archaeological evidence found alongside her burial bundle, while learning the details of her discovery and the research conducted. After the visit, we’ll begin our return trip, concluding the tour between approximately 1:40 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., depending on traffic and road conditions.
