    Start your day with a pickup at your hotel in Trujillo and head north to explore the legacy of the ancient Chimú and Moche cultures. Visit Huaca Esmeralda and Huaca Arcoíris (Huaca Dragón), famous for their adobe structures and decorative reliefs. Continue on to the Chan Chan Archaeological Site Museum, and then explore the impressive citadel of Chan Chan, the ancient capital of the Chimú kingdom. Afterward, enjoy some free time in Huanchaco to have lunch on your own and stroll through this traditional coastal town. In the afternoon, visit the Huacas de Moche Archaeological Site Museum and discover its collection of original artifacts. End the tour at the Huacas del Sol and de la Luna, one of the main ceremonial centers of the Moche culture. Return to Trujillo in the evening.
