    Iquitos – Nauta – Pacaya Samiria National Reserve

    Your Amazon adventure begins with a hotel or airport pick-up in Iquitos. Travel by private vehicle to the port of Nauta (approx. 2 hours), a quiet town that serves as the main gateway to Pacaya Samiria Reserve. From there, board a traditional motorized boat and begin your journey along the majestic Marañón River. During the boat ride, enjoy stunning jungle scenery and keep an eye out for pink and grey river dolphins. You’ll stop at the first control post of the reserve (PV1) to obtain official entry permits issued by SERNANP.

    Lunch is served onboard in a typical Amazonian style. In the afternoon, arrive at the Buenos Aires Base Camp, where you’ll receive a briefing on camp rules and sustainable practices. After a short exploration of the surroundings, enjoy dinner and prepare for a night jungle walk, where you may encounter insects, frogs, snakes, and other fascinating nocturnal creatures.

    Yanayacu Pucate – Wildlife, Medicinal Plants & Amazonian Myths

    Start your day early with an unforgettable Amazon sunrise and guided birdwatching. This is the best time to spot parrots, macaws, and other exotic species. After breakfast, continue your navigation along the Yanayacu-Pucate River, with the chance to see more wildlife and even swim near pink dolphins in the Marañón River. In the afternoon, enjoy a botanical walk through the rainforest, where your guide will introduce you to medicinal plants, giant trees, and ancient Amazonian traditions. Return to camp for dinner and an enchanting storytelling session featuring Amazonian legends and myths, such as Yacuruna, Sachamama, and Chullachaqui—part of the deep spiritual world of the local communities.

    Yanayacu Exploration – Piranha Fishing, Monkeys & Night Canoe Ride

    After breakfast, head to a new jungle zone near the Chambira Camp and set up your tent for the night. Board a small motorboat to explore more remote parts of the Yanayacu River, a region rich in biodiversity with lush vegetation and abundant wildlife. Try your hand at traditional piranha fishing, using local methods passed down by generations. Your catch may even be prepared for dinner! During the afternoon, observe various species of monkeys swinging through the trees, as well as sloths and colorful birds. After dinner, embark on a night canoe excursion along the Pucate River to spot caimans, listen to the sounds of the nocturnal jungle, and watch glowing fireflies dancing over the water.
