1Lago Sandoval
Reception at the office and transfer to the boat for a 40-minute ride along the Madre de Dios River. After entering Tambopata Reserve, we hike 3 km to Sandoval Lake, spotting monkeys, birds, mammals, snakes, and tarantulas. A canoe takes us to the cabins to explore the lake, where we may see herons, caimans, and the remarkable giant river otter.
