7:00 a.m. We begin the tour by picking up passengers from their respective hotels, and we’ll set off on your adventure to the beautiful destination of Alto Mayo. Our first stop will be at the Sandra and Michel Nursery, a space dedicated to the conservation and display of various species of orchids. During the visit, we’ll learn about the different varieties, their characteristics, and the importance of these beautiful flowers, which are representative of the region’s biodiversity. We’ll then continue on to Makisapa – La Ruta del Café, where we’ll discover the coffee-making process, from the selection of raw materials to the final product. We’ll learn more about coffee production in the area and enjoy an experience filled with the aromas and flavors unique to the jungle. Afterward, we’ll head to Chacra Vieja, where we’ll sample traditional regional drinks, prepared with local ingredients that reflect Amazonian tradition and culture.
We’ll continue your tour with a visit to the Plaza de Armas in Moyobamba, the capital of the San Martín region, where you can enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and take photos as a memento of this visit. At lunchtime, we’ll head to a tourist restaurant—a place surrounded by nature, green spaces, and fish farms—where you can enjoy a delicious traditional lunch. Afterward, we’ll visit the source of the Tioyacu River, an ideal spot to connect with nature and take unforgettable photos. Finally, we’ll arrive at the San Mateo Hot Springs, where you can enjoy a revitalizing soak in the thermal medicinal waters, with temperatures ranging from 37 °C to 43 °C—perfect for relaxing and recharging after a day full of experiences. 8:00 p.m. Return and approximate arrival in the city of Tarapoto, marking the end of your tour.
