Hey! I'm Gean Pierre, your surf instructor and head coach in Makaha. With 20 years of experience and certified ISA (International Surf Association) certification and certified lifeguard, I offer you a unique experience. I have grown up in these waves and know every secret of this surfing paradise.

My passion is contagious and I love to share it. No matter your level, I adapt to you. You will learn to read the waves, master the board and surf in style. My classes go beyond technique, immersing you in local surf culture and
connecting you to nature.

For those who come walking, we will find ourselves at the foot of the stairs, next to the statue of the surfer. For those who come by car, we will also meet at the same point, at the foot of the stairs and the statue

What to expect

This surfing experience at Makaha Beach is perfect to start or perfect, all in a friendly and safe environment.

We will start with exercises to prepare your body for exertion and avoid injury.
We will teach you the essential movements to get up on the board, find your balance and paddle effectively, we address the essential safety rules to surf quietly and know the right reflections to have in the water.
I will accompany you on the water to help you catch your first waves and give you personalized advice.
You will enjoy the waves of Makaha, an ideal place for all levels! The main goal is to have fun and enjoy surfing.
