What to expect
Set off before sunrise on a full-day guided desert trek into the heart of Egypt’s Eastern Desert, beginning with a pre-dawn drive to Wadi Shagra. As first light touches the mountains, hike along gravel paths that rise into rocky ascents, revealing jagged peaks, wide valleys, and a powerful sense of wilderness.
Reach a breathtaking viewpoint overlooking Wadi Breika, then descend to the valley floor for Bedouin tea and freshly baked bread. Depending on the group’s energy, choose between a challenging peak climb or a scenic wadi walk to a traditional Bedouin tent for lunch and rest.
Continue through a series of scenic wadis, navigating natural rock formations and ever-changing landscapes. End the day with one final tea stop at Saad’s tent, soaking in the silence and beauty of this ancient land before returning to Wadi Sabarah.
