Experience authentic Nordic outdoor cooking on one of Oslo’s most beautiful and peaceful islands. Join a hands-on workshop on the pristine Skinnerbakken Beach on Malmøya and learn to prepare and grill Norwegian salmon using a traditional method over an open campfire.
This experience is led by a chef and former restaurant owner, passionate about food and outdoor cooking. Every step is crafted with culinary expertise and a deep love for nature.
The location itself is a highlight: a stunning, quiet beach where you can swim in the ocean, enjoy panoramic seaside views, and discover the island’s beautiful and relaxing surroundings.
Begin with a warm welcome on the beach and an introduction to the traditional technique of preparing salmon for open-fire cooking. Then, prepare your own piece of salmon with guidance from your chef and outdoor expert.
