    Your adventure begins as your Hippy Safaris driver-guide collects you from Nairobi. The journey to Amboseli is about 240 km (5 hours) on relatively smooth roads. Along the way, you’ll have the option to stop for refreshments, photos, or a cultural visit to a local town before reaching the park. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in Amboseli, famed for its elephant herds and sweeping views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Expect sightings of giraffes, lions, zebras, wildebeest, and countless bird species. Return to camp in time for dinner and a night beneath the African stars at Sentrim Amboseli Camp.

    Amboseli Exploration – Kilimanjaro’s Majestic Shadow

    Start your day with an early morning game drive, when Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak often reveals itself in the clear sunrise light. This is also the best time to watch Amboseli’s predators and grazers as they begin their day. After returning for breakfast at Sentrim Amboseli Camp, relax at leisure — perhaps enjoying the pool or soaking in the panoramic views. After lunch, head out for another afternoon safari drive, exploring Amboseli’s swamps, acacia woodlands, and open plains. The day ends with dinner and another comfortable night at Sentrim Amboseli Camp, surrounded by the sounds of the wilderness.

    Amboseli – Tsavo East National Park (Untamed Wilderness)

    After breakfast, set out on a scenic 250 km (5–6 hour) journey to Tsavo East National Park, Kenya’s largest protected area. The route allows for optional stops in local towns or viewpoints to stretch, enjoy refreshments, and experience Kenyan life along the way.

    Arrive in time for lunch at Sentrim Tsavo Camp, your base for exploring Tsavo. In the afternoon, venture out on a game drive to see Tsavo’s famous “Red Elephants”, stained by the park’s rich iron soil, as well as giraffes, buffalo, and big cats. A highlight stop is the Aruba Dam, a magnet for wildlife. Evening brings a hearty dinner and a night surrounded by Tsavo’s vast wilderness.

    Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out. The return journey to Nairobi covers about 330 km (6–7 hours), with the option for scenic or cultural stops along the way to break up the drive. Arrive back in Nairobi by afternoon, where your guide will drop you at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for your onward travels — carrying with you unforgettable memories of Amboseli and Tsavo.
