What to expect

During the samurai era, Dejima was Japan's only open diplomatic port while the rest of the country remained closed to the world. The experience takes place in a brewery that produces doburoku, Japan's oldest traditional sake, in an area that symbolizes cultural exchange.
Doburoku is a brewed alcoholic beverage made from rice and water, and it is considered the origin of sake. The ingredients are carefully selected, and the brewers use all their techniques to fully express their unique craftsmanship. Nothing goes to waste. Doburoku is an alcoholic beverage that powerfully expresses the distinct characteristics of ingredients.
This experience engages all five senses, with a focus on doburoku and food.
Starting with rice cultivation, the foundation of Japanese culture, the story unfolds through a pairing experience of doburoku and local cuisine, culminating in a symbolic journey forward. During the two-hour program, you will not only taste, but also listen, close your eyes at times, and enjoy an immersive experience that makes full use of all five senses. This is the most recommended experience for resetting and recharging your senses, which can become unbalanced in everyday life.
