WELCOME to the most charming and colorful tour of Colombia: the TOUR TO GUATAPÉ! Unlike massive tours with a guide for 40 people, you will ride a shared bus, but each guide accompanies a MAXIMUM GROUP of 18 people to ensure a closer experience at an affordable price.
We start with a DELICIOUS BREAKFAST. Then, we will visit the PEÑOL PEOPLE and its FAMOUS REPLICA.
Wait for the best to come! The PEÑOL STONE challenges you with its 700 steps. Do you dare to go up and enjoy a 360o view? You can!
After the TYPICAL LUNCH, we will take a relaxing LUXURY BOAT RIDE to contemplate incredible landscapes and properties.
Later, we will visit the town of Guatapé with our guide : CALLE DE LAS SOMBRILLAS, PLAZA DE LOS ZÓCALOS, CALLE DEL RECUERDO and PARQUE CENTRAL, and you will have time to travel at your own pace.
Finally, we will interact with adorable animals such as llamas

What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Pickup is included from your hotel in El Poblado or Laureles area. The maximum waiting time at the hotel is 5 minutes. We can only pick you up if you provide the address at least 24 hours before the activity starts. If you book within the 24 hours before the experience starts we will meet in Parque del Poblado. Also is only available if you are a group of minimum 2 people.

We will meet at the agreed time with the guide at Parque del Poblado where our adventure will begin to the famous Zocalo's town: Guatapé!

Penol (Pass by)
Next we will pass through the town of Nuevo Peñol, whose urban center was built as a consequence of the relocation of the inhabitants of Viejo Peñol, when the construction of the Guatapé dam became effective. As we drive along its main street we will observe the emblematic sculpture of the Phoenix Bird, symbol of the rebirth of the community, and a colorful mural in honor of the tomato growers, key figures in the economy and culture of the region."

2Parque Tematico Replica del Viejo Penol
Our first visit is the Réplica del Viejo Peñol, a scale imitation of the old town square where we can enjoy a majestic view over the dam and admire the colonial style of its architecture. Get your camera ready and take a picture of yourself well dressed in a ruana on one of the balconies of the establishments you will find!

3Malecon de Guatape
After the exciting climb to the Piedra del Peñol, we will have a delicious typical lunch to regain strength and continue enjoying the tour.

4Guatape Dam
Afterwards, we will continue our tour with a relaxing luxury boat ride on the dam, where you can appreciate the islands that emerge from the water and contemplate the impressive landscapes and amazing properties that notable personalities of Medellín own in this area.

5Guatape
Finally, we will take a short walking tour with our guide, exploring the most emblematic corners of Guatapé, such as the iconic Calle de las Sombrillas, the Plaza de los Zócalos, the Calle del Recuerdo and the Central Park. You will then be given free time to continue exploring the town at your own pace or if you wish to complement your experience by riding a jetski or taking a spectacular helicopter flight, creating a memory that will remain forever in your hearts!

6Piedra Del Penol
Wait, NOW COMES THE BEST: THE PEÑOL STONE! Can you imagine climbing the 700 steps that lead to the top of this huge batholith and being rewarded with a spectacular 360º view of the surrounding landscape? Sounds amazing, doesn't it? Be amazed by the nature that surrounds you as you ascend this huge granite rock and by the interesting story that our guide will tell you about it! At the end, the guide will accompany those who wish to climb it to the ticket office. Not to be missed!

On the way back to Medellin, we will stop at a small animal farm to share with LLAMAS and HORSES. There, you will be able to feed them and interact with them.
