Remade in Chicago is an upcycling studio where secondhand garments and fabrics are transformed into one-of-a-kind objects and wearable art. We create bold and playful designs featuring ubiquitous shapes and ambiguous symbols. We generously share approachable ways to remake clothes with an aim to inspire others to creatively modify their wardrobes and to be mindful textile consumers.

What to expect

Learn the art of screen printing while you transform a t-shirt or sweatshirt you already own into one-of-a-kind wearable art! In this screen printing class in Chicago, you will learn screen printing basics and leave with a cool upcycled tee ready to show off!
This screen printing workshop is perfect for beginners and requires no experience or art skills! We'll provide over 15 premade screens featuring bold and playful modular designs that you can mix and match. We'll demonstrate and coach you in the ink-pulling process to create a beautiful image transfer onto your shirt. Screen printing is a fun, easy, and satisfying experience. If you enjoy instant gratification, this workshop is for you!
We'll talk about how to design and prep a screen for printing if any guests are curious, but we won't do those steps in this workshop. If you have a custom design request, please contact us directly to make arrangements. This class is a fantastic way to get an intro into screen printing, whether you're looking for a new hobby or simply want to spend an afternoon being creative!
