Loreto has always been one of the best known places for fishing. People come from all over the world to enjoy the surroundings and marine life of Loreto Bay National Park.
The captains are locals and have always known the best fishing spots thanks to their parents and relatives.
If you want to come in winter, you can fish for yellowfin mackerel, sea bass, or snapper. During the summer you can fish for roosterfish or dorado (mahi mahi), striped marlin or sailfish, quite a challenge!
Most of the time you go fishing, you'll be able to spot other marine animals such as dolphins, jumping manta rays, or even whales. This sea has everything to renew your energy!!
If more than 3 people want to fish, they can go on the boat without any problem, but keep in mind that there will be a maximum of 3 rods in the water.
The meeting point will be at the blue whale statue next to the Loreto letters. You'll see the only whale statue in the marina, and one of our guides will be waiting for you.
You will meet at the Blue Whale statue at 6am to go to the office to purchase fishing licenses. From there, you'll head to the boat where the captain will be waiting to pick up the bait, which is leaving from the Loreto marina. Once the bait is on the boat, the captain will head to the spots he considers best for fishing. During the tour, you can spot other types of marine life such as dolphins, whales, and manta rays. Once the fishermen bring in the fish, if you want to take it home, you can take it to a place where it is cleaned and vacuum-packed, so that everything is ready for you to enjoy this delicacy at home.
