Goryokaku (Star-Fort) is the battlefield of the last samurai at the end of the Edo Period Famous samurai "Hijikata Toshizo", well known in the animation "Golden Kamuy", lived and fought in this fortress. You can find western fortresses in other countries, but the western fortress with Japanese castle construction technology is the only Goryokaku in the world.

Kanemori Redbrick Storehouse is the most popular shopping mall for souvenirs. The building is using the real storehouse, which has stored all the cargo between Hokkaido and Honshu for the past days. You can enjoy shopping and dinner under the historical building.

Jigokudani is an explosion crater located in Noboribetsu town. The rocky crater is covered by sulfur, and so much steam is still blowing up. Japanese people see it as a unique view, and believe it is like “Hell”. Noboribetsu has a Ninja village and a famous bear park as well.

Asahiyama zoo is one of the most famous zoo in Japan. This Zoo is a world pioneer of "Behavioural exhibits”, which exhibits the animals as they live in the real nature. You can enjoy the common animal exhibitions, but the most famous show is the penguins' walk during the winter. If you want to see the Penguins’ walk in the summer, you can see it at Nixe Aquarium near Noboribetsu.

Biei town is one of the most popular sightseeing spots for tourists. Biei has the Blue pond, Shirahige waterfall, which has a clear blue colour created by a natural miracle. In addition, Biei is well known as the beautiful flower hills and famous trees. If you are living in a tropical country, the winter view can be an unforgettable memory.

Furano is a rural town, but its lavender gardens are super famous. In the farm, you can enjoy the view of vast lavender gardens with a sweet smell. At night, you can’t miss visiting Ningle Terrace at the New Furano Prince Hotel. The park has so many beautiful small houses, and each house has different handicraft makers with their own themes.

Otaru is one of most popular sightseeing spot in Hokkaido. The Otaru Canal is the symbol of Otaru, and it can evoke how this city was bustling and developed in the past. Otaru is also famous for its glass products and music boxes. You can enjoy the shopping among the nostalgic buildings.

Niseko is the most famous ski resort. The quality of the snow is one of the highest in the world. If you can’t ski and snowboard, there are so many types of activities as well. If you are visiting in the summer, you can’t miss visiting Mizudashi park in Kyogoku town. Sweet, beautiful, clear fresh water is directly splashing from the Mt. Yotei, and you can enjoy the rich nature.

If you are a seafood lover, you must visit the Morning Market in Hakodate. It is cheaper than other markets around Sapporo, and the shops are super friendly, and you can enjoy the environment.
