    Day 1

    Nairobi – Chogoria – Forest Camp

    Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive to Chogoria Town (approximately 4 hours). Upon arrival, visit the local market and enjoy lunch at a hotel. After lunch, transfer to a 4WD vehicle and drive along the rugged forest track to Chogoria Gate, then proceed to the campsite inside the park. Settle into camp, relax, and enjoy dinner surrounded by forest scenery. Overnight: Camping (tent)

    Chogoria Camp – Nithi Falls & Gorge

    After breakfast, begin a gentle hike toward the spectacular Nithi Falls and Gorge. This scenic walk covers about 7 km (approx. 2 hours) and offers incredible views of waterfalls, cliffs, and valleys. Spend time exploring the area before returning to camp for meals and overnight. Hiking distance: ~7 km Hiking time: ~2 hours

    Nithi Area – Hall Tarns Campsite

    Today’s trek follows a ridge overlooking the dramatic Gorges Valley, gradually ascending toward Hall Tarns. This area provides stunning panoramic views of Lake Michaelson and the high peaks of Mount Kenya. The hike takes 5–6 hours, allowing time for photography and rest stops. Hiking distance: ~9 km

    Summit Attempt (Point Lenana) – Old Moses Camp

    Wake up very early (around 3:00 AM) for the summit attempt. Trek for 3–4 hours to reach Point Lenana (4,985 m) in time for sunrise, offering unforgettable views over Mount Kenya and the surrounding landscape. After descending to Shipton’s Camp for a full breakfast, continue the trek down to Old Moses Camp for overnight. Hiking distance: ~12 km

    Old Moses – Sirimon Gate – Nairobi

    After breakfast, descend 9 km to Sirimon Gate. From here, drive to Nanyuki Town, then continue the journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the evening.
