Day 1
Departure from Nairobi and Afternoon Game Drive

Rift Valley Province
You will be picked up from your hotel within the city center and commence your safari to Masai Mara Game Reserve with a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Here, you will have a breathtaking view of the picturesque floor of the Rift Valley. Rift Valley is a geographic stretch extending 6000km across the Middle East and Africa from Jordan to Mozambique. The valley encapsulates tremendous changes in topographic diversity with its scarps and volcanoes, lakes, ancient granitic hills, flat desert landscapes, and coral reefs and islets. The astounding view, as you approach from Nairobi, Kenya is quite unbelievable.

Maasai Mara National Reserve
You will be on arrival at the camp, check-in at your camp, and proceed for an afternoon game viewing in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Return back to the camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner ending with a good time for resting at Rhino Tourist Camp.

Day 2
Full Day Game drive in the Maasai Mara Reserve

Mara River
After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive (6:30 AM onward) in Masai Mara National Reserve, the primary attraction. Explore diverse ecosystems like the Talek River and Mara River, key crossing points for the Great Migration with crocodiles and hippos. Key points of interest: Spot the Big Five, including lion prides, elephant herds, rhinos in protected zones, leopards in trees, and buffalos. Witness dramatic wildebeest crossings (July-October) and over 500 bird species (e.g., ostriches, lilac-breasted rollers). Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush with savannah views. Optional early-morning hot air balloon safari (~5:00 AM, extra cost) for aerial views of the Mara’s wildlife and plains. Return to camp by 6:00 PM for dinner and overnight, with time to relax by a campfire.

Day 3
Morning Game Drive and Return to Nairobi

After breakfast, enjoy a 3-hour morning game drive (6:00-9:00 AM) in Masai Mara National Reserve to catch dawn-active animals like cheetahs and hyenas. Reinforce Big Five sightings or explore the Mara River for hippos and birdlife. Optional Maasai village visit (9:00-10:00 AM, extra cost), a cultural landmark with mud huts (bomas), cattle enclosures, and demonstrations of adumu dances and beadwork. Depart the reserve by 10:00 AM for the 5-6 hour return drive to Nairobi, passing the Great Rift Valley Escarpment again. Arrive in Nairobi by 2:00-3:00 PM for drop-off at your hotel or city center, concluding with memories of the Mara’s wild beauty.
