Nuraghe La Prisgiona is the most remarkable and complete nuraghe complex in the Arzachena area, offering a rare glimpse into daily life during the Bronze Age. The site consists of a central tower (nuraghe) with a trilobed bastion and surrounding village of over 90 huts—many of which have been partially excavated—revealing an advanced and structured Nuragic community (c. 14th–9th century BC). One of the most fascinating discoveries is the so-called “meeting hut,” a large circular structure with seats built along the inner wall, believed to have hosted tribal councils or ceremonial gatherings. This evocative site is set among the rolling granite hills of Gallura, surrounded by cork oaks and Mediterranean vegetation, and allows visitors to connect with the island’s mysterious prehistoric past. Beneath the facade lies a long burial chamber (about 9–10 m), originally covered by earth and stones. Today, visitors can walk through this sacred site, immersing themselves in prehistoric ritual and community life.
