Snorkel at Silfra Fissure in the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park, and visit incredible Golden Circle attractions on this day trip from Reykjavik! After leaving the capital, head to the national park and snorkel in the clear waters of Silfra Fissure, a natural rift between the North American and European tectonic plates. Then, explore geothermic valley of Haukadalur by minibus, stopping to see the famous Geysir hot spring and Gulfoss waterfall. We stop at Kerið Crater before returning to Reykjavik.

2Arctic Adventures Silfra Fissure
Here is where you will float through the aquatic world of Silfra, the meeting point of two continents. With the cool glacier filtered water the rift offers exceptional visibility that extends to such distances it feels that you are suspended in the air above the deep crack of Silfra. There are four main sections that you will pass through; Silfra Deep Crack, Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral and Silfra Lagoon. 3Pingvellir National Park
We make our way to Þingvellir National park, where the diving site Silfra is located. On UNESCO's world heritage list for its unique geological features you will be sure to be awed by the beauty of the place. The only place where the Atlantic oceanic rift is visible above water, the location of the world's oldest parliament and home to stunning natural wonders.

4Gullfoss

- All participants need to be able to swim and communicate in English to participate in the snorkeling part of this adventure tour
- Please note that pregnant women can unfortunately not participate in the snorkeling part of this combo tour due to the small risk of cold water entering the suit.
- The operator reserves the right to alter the itinerary if needed with your safety and overall enjoyment of the tour in mind.
- Minimum age is 12 years old. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian booked on the same tour.
- Wear glasses? Since you'll be wearing snorkeling goggles to see underwater there can be nothing in the way of the seal therefore you cannot wear glasses underneath the goggles. In this case, contact lenses or your own prescription goggles are recommended.
- Pregnant women can unfortunately not participate in the snorkeling portion
- Please review the medical statement form in our Snorkeling Handbook before booking the tour. If you have any medical issues you will need to get medical approval from a doctor.
