What to expect

Experience one of the world’s most unique snorkeling sites: the Silfra Fissure in Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you’ll swim between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates in crystal-clear glacial waters with up to 150 meters of visibility.

Meet your PADI certified guide directly at Thingvellir, where they will give you a safety briefing and help you suit up to explore the surreal blue world beneath the surface. Silfra’s waters come from Langjökull Glacier, traveling through lava fields before reaching the fissure, creating an underwater landscape unlike anywhere else on Earth.
The guide to guest ratio is 1:6 to ensure a more personalized experience. Underwater photos taken by your guide are included free of charge.

After your snorkeling adventure, warm up with hot chocolate and cookies before heading off to explore more of Iceland at your own pace. Silfra is a convenient stop on the iconic Golden Circle route!
