Experience this exciting hiking and ice caving adventure of the Vatnajökull Glacier in Skaftafell National Park! As you arrive at the park, you will meet your professional glacier guide who will lead the way to some of Vatnajökull Glacier‘s spectacular ice caves and tell you all there is to know about the area. This tour includes bus transport to the glaciers edge, and hiking for approximately 4.5 km. You will be provided with specialized glacier crampons for walking on the ice as well as helmets and ice axes. Sturdy hiking boots are required for this adventure. Waterproof clothing and hiking boots are available to rent for a small fee.

The meeting point for this tour is at the Arctic Adventures Booking Hut in Skaftafell National park. Skaftafell is located in approx 327km (203 miles) distance from Reykjavik.

- Operates in cold weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- Minimum age is 8 years old and minimum shoe size is 35 EU
- We provide all safety gear. Please note that our specialized glacier crampons are only available for shoe sizes 35-50 EU. Those with a shoe size beyond these are unfortunately unable to participate.
- Hiking boots with ankle support are mandatory for this adventure (rentals available for a fee)
- This tour is rated as easy, but guests should be prepared to hike ~3km over uneven terrain.
