Upon arrival/in Nairobi, our tour guide/driver will meet you and drive you to Masai Mara. Expect to arrive in Masai Mara in about 5 hours. In Masai Mara, you will have afternoon comprehensive game drives. Expect to see wildebeests, Zebras, gazelles, and other herbivores during the peak season for the Great Wildebeests Migration. The national reserve is known for having the Big Five (Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Rhinoceros and Bufallos), so expect to spot these animals and others during your wild adventure in a safari vehicle with a pop up window that gives you the opportunity to get panoramic views.
On your way to Masai Mara, you will stop over at a famous place, the Great Rift Valley Escarpment point. Here you will have a chance to have see the outcome of volcanic actions that happened many years ago that resulted to the formation of the Great Rift Valley. From the escarpment point you will have a panoramic view of the landscapes and settlements and agricultural lands. You will also meet some locals and curio shops, where you will find products of beadwork and other traditional products made from other locally sourced materials. This will give you a snippet of the Masai culture
You will have a full day to explore Masai Mara. Before breakfast if you like you can have an early morning Game drive them go back to the hotel and have breakfast. After breakfast, you will have comprehensive game games the entire day if you like, with just breaks to go back to the hotel to have take lunch and return to the hotel in the evening for dinner. You will have the time and chance to chase and follow the Big Five (Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffalos and Rhinoceros) and other animals including the migratory wildebeests, Zebras, gazelles and other herbivores if during the peak season for migration (July-October) every year. You will have panoramic views in the safari game vehicle and be able to take pictures and videos. If you also love birds, you will have the opportunity to follow them and also take pictures. Overnight stay at a mara camp.
In the evening you will stop over in a Masai Village. Masai dancers with their traditional dance will be welcome you as you enter the village. You will have a chance to interact with the locals, the Masai people and learn their culture. You will see the routine activities they do in the evening, such as milking and attending to their livestock (mostly cows). Masai people are pastoralists. You will also get to see how they do beading to make products out of beads, such as necklaces, bracelets and baskets, etc.
You can opt for an early morning game drive before breakfast, If there are animals and birds you are interested in chasing in the morning. Then you will return to the hotel and have breakfast. You also have an option to go back to the Masai village and get to experience the morning routine activities of the locals before or after you check out of the hotel. You also have an option to stay at the hotel, take breakfast, rest and check out in your preparation for your journey back to Nairobi. Later embark on a road trip back to Nairobi
On your way back to Nairobi, you will stop over in a small town, still a Masai people town called Narok. Here you will be accompanied by our driver/tour leader and have the opportunity to take lunch in one of the restaurants in the town and if you like, can enjoy the famous and as locally known 'Mbuzi choma' meaning roasted goat meat. You can enjoy the roasted meat with maize meal, locally known as 'Ugali' and traditional vegetables or any other accompaniments. After lunch, you will continue with the journey You will also have a chance to interact with some locals
