To make the Chocolate Route in Villa de Leyva, we will to focus your visit on the Chocolate Museum, La Milhoja and the Chocolate factory which is the central axis of this experience. The first and most crucial step is to be in advance the experiential chocolate workshop (often called Chocotour), since this 2-3 hour activity is the one that allows you to learn, participate in creating your own bar and make guided tastings. Once the workshop is over, the experience is completed by exploring the Museum’s facilities, which include a café to taste unique cocoa dishes and drinks (such as chocolate with cheese) and a boutique to purchase handmade chocolates and souvenirs before looking for other local shops around the Plaza Mayor.
