The journey begins with the transfer to Ollantaytambo, followed by a train ride surrounded by Andean landscapes until you reach Aguas Calientes. Official entrance to Machu Picchu is included in the package; however, the traveler must collect it personally from the Ministry of Culture. Pick-up takes place between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. from the traveler’s accommodation or, if you prefer, from a previously coordinated meeting point. In both cases, they must be within the time range and set area. The details of the accommodation or collection point will be requested, as well as a contact number to facilitate communication. The vehicle will be clearly identified and the authorized driver will be presented with the passenger’s name, ensuring a timely and safe transfer to the Inca Rail offices.

You will then be informed about the process for collecting official tickets to Machu Picchu, already included in the package and at no additional cost. Afterwards, you will enjoy a lunch included in a local restaurant. During the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the village, visit artisan shops or relax in the hot springs (entrance not included). At the end of the day, an included dinner will be offered before the well-deserved rest in the hotel.

    Machu Picchu

    After breakfast at the hotel, the journey to one of the most amazing icons of the Andean world begins. At the agreed time, the guide will meet the passengers to direct them to the tourist bus station. The ascent towards Machu Picchu takes approximately 30 minutes, walking along a path surrounded by unique natural landscapes. Upon arrival, the guided tour of the sanctuary begins, lasting close to three hours, exploring the highlights of the Inca city. Key details about its history, architecture and cultural significance are shared during the tour. After the visit, you will return by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes to continue with the itinerary of the day.
