In this relaxing, hands-on Copper Embossing Art Workshop, you’ll craft a Wisconsin-inspired design by transforming a pre-cut copper state into beautiful handmade artwork. Draw your design directly onto the copper, press in the patterns, and add color with alcohol ink to make it uniquely yours. Then stain the wood square and mount your finished artwork for a rustic piece you’ll be proud to display at home. Go to the Studio. Free parking is available out front on Grand Ave or at the South Street Municipal Parking Ramp nearby on 241 South St for the first 2 hours.

What to expect

Check in, put on an apron, and get settled at your spot. We'll have a copper Wisconsin shape and board ready for you, then guide you with demos of how to stain the wood, emboss the copper, paint with ink, and mount it on the board. You'll have 2 hours to craft your artwork, listen to music, and chat with your group. Beverages are available to purchase at our bar to make it a sip and craft experience. When you're done, we'll pack up your piece to take home. Enjoy a crafting escape at our historic studio in Downtown Waukesha!
