What to expect
1) Booking the Transfer
The customer makes a reservation via Viator/ Tripadvisor website or mobile app.
The customer must provide the following key information: date, time of pick-up, number of passengers, amount of luggage and a pick-up location in Prague (the exact address or hotel name). In the case of a pick-up at the airport, the flight number must be provided.
The customer must also provide the address of the dropp of destination in Budapest.
The system confirms availability, calculates the price, and sends a booking confirmation.
2) Confirmation & Driver Assignment
After the reservation is confirmed, the system automatically assigns a driver and vehicle. The driver receives detailed instructions: passenger name, pick-up time and location, contact details, and any special requirements (child seat, extra luggage...).
3) Pre-departure Communication
12–24 hours before the transfer, the customer receives a reminder with vehicle details, driver contact information, and a tracking link if the service offers live-tracking. The driver confirms the assignment and prepares the vehicle.
4) Passenger Pick-up in Prague
The driver arrives at the designated pick-up point usually 5–10 minutes before the scheduled time.
At the airport, they wait in the arrivals hall with a name sign; at a hotel or address, they wait at the main entrance.
The driver assists with loading luggage and verifies the trip details (destination Budapest, number of passengers, luggage).
5) The Journey
The driver selects the optimal route based on current traffic conditions.
The vehicle provides comfort features such as air conditioning, or bottled water (depending on the service provider).
The passenger may request a short stop if needed (e.g., food, restroom).
6) Cross-border Travel
The transfer from Czech Republic to Hungary is seamless, with no border checks due to the Schengen Area.
The driver ensures motorway vignettes are valid.
7) Arrival in Budapest & Drop-off
The driver arrives at the exact destination (hotel, station, office, residence).
They assist with unloading luggage and ensure the passenger has not left anything in the vehicle.
8) Completion of the Service
Payment is either completed in advance or settled on the spot (cash or QR code, depending on the service).
The system closes and archives the transfer.
