This tour combines countryside hiking, regional history, and local legends in one compact experience just outside Brno.
Unlike standard city tours, we visit the Marian pilgrimage site, the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Vranov u Brna, follow a gentle scenic route along the wooded ridge of Babí lom, and conclude the walk in Lelekovice. The route offers panoramic views, distinctive geological formations, sacred architecture, and excellent photo opportunities within easy reach of the city.
The small group size ensures a personal approach. The pace is adjusted to participants. The guide provides historical context, architectural insight, and regional stories not commonly found in guidebooks.
The experience is structured yet flexible. Details are coordinated in advance, and the return to Brno is tailored to individual needs. Travelers gain a deeper understanding of the region beyond the city center.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We will meet all participants in front of the main entrance of Grandhotel Brno. A few days before the tour we will contact participants by phone to confirm the exact meeting time and arrival details. We will coordinate precise arrangements to ensure no one is missed.
Return to central Brno by public transport (city buses and trams). Participants may choose their preferred stop and disembark where most convenient. If participants are unsure which stop to choose, the guide will advise the most suitable stop for them.

09:30 a.m. — Meet in front of the main entrance of Hotel Grand, Benešova street, Brno 602 00, Czechia. GPS: 49.1925622N, 16.6131103E We will depart together by public transport (city buses and train). Please arrive 5 minutes before the meeting time. Arrive strictly on time — because we travel by public transport, the guide cannot wait for late arrivals. A few days before the tour we will contact participants by phone to confirm the exact meeting time and final details.

10:30 am — Arrival in Vranov u Brna + visit Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary The Baroque Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary with a Gothic statue of the Virgin Mary is one of the most visited Marian pilgrimage sites. It houses the crypt of the Liechtenstein family, former owners of the estate and builders of the church. Monastery of the Brothers of Saint Francis of Paula At the same time there is a convent (monastery) of the brothers of St. Francis of Paula with a large monastery garden. These members of the order, abbreviated as "Paulans", provide the spiritual administration of this pilgrimage site and parish.
