Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you will receive a detailed orientation about your conservation and volunteering experience, including the projects you will participate in. The remainder of the day is at leisure to rest and prepare for your journey.
After breakfast, depart Nairobi for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a leading conservation area in Laikipia known for its work in protecting endangered species. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodation and receive an introduction to the conservation programs and volunteering activities you will be involved in during your stay.
Spend the day getting fully oriented with conservation work at Ol Pejeta. Activities may include introductory sessions on wildlife monitoring, conservation practices, and habitat protection efforts. You will begin participating in hands-on projects alongside conservation teams.
