Day 1 If you arrive by plane, your guide will pick you up directly at the airport upon arrival. If you have stayed the night before in Iquitos, pickup will be at 8:am, the exact time will be indicated the day before, transfer Iquitos - Nauta.To take you on a fascinating journey, touring landscapes, towns and the bridge over the Itaya River, we will sail in a typical boat, we will pass through the point where the 3 rivers Amazon, Marañón and Ucayali meet, with the possibility of seeing gray and pink dolphins in their natural habitat. Continue along the Yarapa and Cumaceba ravine until you reach the hostel, in the buffer zone of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Enjoy a typical Amazonian lunch with seasonal fruits and an afternoon canoe trip to observe birds, monkeys and sloths. At nightfall, after dinner, you will experience the magic of a night hike to discover insects, frogs, tarantulas and unique sounds of the jungle.
After a nutritious breakfast in our hostel, we will start a fascinating walk through the reserve, a nature tour in all its essence. Along the way, you will discover different species of birds and monkeys, while our expert guides reveal the secrets of Amazonian medicinal plants and their multiple uses, It will also allow you to see insects, butterflies, termites and the tireless leafcutter ants. As part of our commitment to conservation, you can plant your own tree, contributing to the lung of the world and leaving your positive mark in the jungle. At noon, you will have an Amazonian lunch prepared with dedication by our cooks, who combine local flavors with fresh produce. In the afternoon, we will travel by boat to the town of Puerto Miguel, where you will know its customs and the lifestyle of its inhabitants, achieving an authentic connection with the local culture. Very early we will enjoy a delicious breakfast to fill us with energy before starting a full day of Amazon exploration. We will sail through lakes and ravines surrounded by lush nature, while observing a great diversity of fauna and flora: curious monkeys, exotic birds, snakes camouflaged among the vegetation and the endearing sloth bears. We will take a special break to enjoy a typical lunch prepared in the Amazonian style, in full connection with nature. In the afternoon we will return to the hostel, where we will receive a comforting dinner with local ingredients. The night will bring with it a unique experience: our guides will share the tradition of artisanal fishing with typical Loretana spears, and teach us to recognize the magical sounds of insects and nocturnal birds that fill the jungle with life at sunset. We start very early, at 5:30 a.m. to observe the sunrise and exciting day of artisanal fishing for piranhas and other species typical of the Amazon. We return to the hostel for a delicious breakfast and then explore the lakes of the area, where we will have the opportunity to admire the Victoria Regia, the largest and most impressive aquatic plant in the jungle. After lunch at the hostel, we start the return by boat to Nauta and then to Iquitos, arriving around 6:00 p.m. If your flight leaves early, we will transfer you in advance to the airport, ensuring comfort and punctuality.
