The Big Bakes invites you to roll up your sleeves and dive into the UK's ultimate baking experience!
Join us in our iconic tent for a joy-filled baking experience culminating in a traditional sweet Afternoon Tea. Working in pairs, you will learn to bake a selection of Afternoon Tea treats, including Victoria sponge sandwiches, chocolate truffles and eclairs, prepared on a tiered stand. After baking, enjoy your own delightful creations with tea in our cocktail bar!
Available on Mondays and Fridays. This fun, immersive session is perfect for visitors to Manchester, a day out with friends, dates, or a unique family activity to be enjoyed by adults and kids alike. No experience needed. Just bring your enthusiasm!
All equipment and ingredients are provided, and yes, we even do the washing up!

Meeting and pickup
Head to 'The Big Manchester Bake' on Stanley Street, look out for the company logo on the building, come on in and let the team on the bar know you're here to bake!
What to expect
- 2 hours of baking heaven, mastering your own Victoria sponge sandwiches, mini cakes and chocolate truffles
- Bake in pairs, or a group of 3 at your own baking bench
- Post-bake tea and tasting of your creations in the cocktail bar
- All instructions, ingredients and aprons are provided, as well as a take home cake box
