Meeting and pickup
We will meet in front of the entrance of the apartment building.There is a soba restaurant on the first floor called Sobadokoro Marucho Honke. You can find the location easily by using the soba restaurant Sobadokoro Marucho Honke as a landmark.
What to expect
Once you’ve chosen your design, you’ll attach the igusa to the base, carefully shape it, and add the tatami-beri. You’ll use tools such as scissors, a hammer, and small nails as you work through each step.
No previous crafting experience is needed. Our staff will guide you through the process step by step, so even complete beginners can relax and enjoy the experience.
After finishing the back, your one-of-a-kind mini tatami is complete!
Your finished mini tatami can be used in many ways: as a coaster, a display mat for figurines or small keepsakes, a photo display, or a unique piece of Japanese-inspired home décor.
Rather than simply seeing Japanese culture while sightseeing, this experience gives you the chance to learn about it, touch the materials, and create something with your own hands.
