    Located in southeastern Medellín, Barrio Pablo Escobar is a neighborhood originally built in the late 1980s by Pablo Escobar to provide housing for low-income families displaced by city demolitions. Around 400 families received homes as part of what he called “Medellín sin tugurios” (Medellín without slums).

    The tomb of Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria is located in the Jardines Montesacro Cemetery, in Itagüí, on the outskirts of Medellín.
