We head to km 20, from here we will start the walk to the Emerald Lagoon : it is almost 5 km outbound where we will cross two completely different valleys: the first will be the Valley of Tierra Mayor which is 250 m above sea level and the second the Valley of the Emerald River. Around 10.00 we will arrive at the Emerald Lagoon.
We'll continue on the right bank to start ascending the Eye of the Albino. An hour later, at around 11.00 am we will already be passing a high mountain terrain where a lot of concentration is required even if it is the beginning of the most difficult part. At 7 km, we will stop to enjoy a rich lunch on the mountain. And a short break to not lose energy on the climb. We will continue to the Balconies of the Eye of the Albino where we will have an incredible view of the Emerald Lagoon and its entire valley. Concentrated and eager, after 10 km of travel and reaching a 1200m gradient, we will climb a wall to reach the impressive Ojo del Albino Glacier. When the conditions are optimal both physical passenger and meteorological of the place, we will ascend and walk on the body of ice.
