Discover Shanghai’s must-see highlights in one stress-free private day—without worrying about logistics. Choose the travel style that fits you best: a private car option with a dedicated chauffeur + an English-speaking guide, or a guide-led experience by metro and walking for a more local, budget-friendly way to explore.
To better meet your needs, we can make minor adjustments to the itinerary based on your preferences. After booking, we’ll confirm your final itinerary by email or text. Your guide can help with photos, translation, tickets, and restaurant recommendations along the way.

Our first stop will be Lujiazui. Lujiazui is the main stage of Shanghai's skyline—the Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Tower, Shanghai Financial Center, and Jin Mao Tower stand in harmonious contrast. The shimmering river, the circular elevated walkway, and the waterfront promenade together outline the city's most futuristic silhouette. The Lujiazui International Financial Center shopping mall and waterfront promenade perfectly blend financial giants, fashion retail, and river views, offering you a multifaceted experience. We expect to stay here for 40 minutes, after which our private driver will take you for 20 minutes to our next destination.
The second stop on the itinerary includes a lunch break – details below. The second stop is the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, a stop steeped in Chinese history. Located in a classic Shikumen alleyway, the site offers an excellent window into modern Shanghai history. In 1921, a low-key meeting held in an ordinary living room laid the foundation for far-reaching events. After the visit, the tour guide will confirm the lunch arrangements with you. Lunch is not included in the tour price. The guide can recommend nearby restaurants, ranging from formal meals to light snacks, but the final choice is entirely yours. You can also choose your own restaurant, specify a dining location, or cancel lunch altogether. We do not receive any restaurant commissions or rebates, and there are no mandatory meal arrangements. After the lunch break, your driver will pick you up and take you to the third stop, a journey of approximately 25 minutes.
The third stop is the former French Concession—Shanghai’s most charming neighborhood for a relaxed food-and-street-life stroll. Here, you’ll walk beneath plane trees and past shikumen lanes, historic villas, and elegant Art Deco buildings—where old Shanghai meets today’s café culture. Along the way, your guide can tailor the route to your tastes, introducing you to beloved local bites and dessert spots, recommending a few well-known Shanghai classics, and pointing out hidden gems tucked into side streets. This is an unhurried, sensory stop: the aroma of fresh coffee, small bakeries, boutique eateries, and the everyday rhythm of the neighborhood. You’re welcome to pause whenever you like—grab a snack, take photos, or sit for a quick break—while your guide helps with ordering and recommendations. Afterward, your private chauffeur will transfer you to the fourth stop (approximately 25 minutes, traffic permitting).
This tour includes a dinner break – details below. Nanjing Road seamlessly blends historic brands with modern style, offering a unique and unforgettable experience, from its bustling daytime atmosphere to its dazzling nighttime lights. Stroll along the pedestrian street and admire the harmonious fusion of classic architecture and trendy modern shopping centers. Explore the pedestrian street, find great photo spots, admire iconic buildings, and enjoy a quick bite of Shanghai snacks at Century Square. Dinner is not included in the tour price. The guide can recommend nearby restaurants, but the final choice is entirely yours – you can choose any restaurant, specify one, or simply skip dinner. We do not have any partner restaurants and do not receive any commission. After a short rest after dinner, we will continue to our final stop at the end of the pedestrian street.
Our final stop is the Bund. Strolling along the Bund, the ancient building facades echo the skyscrapers of Pudong across the water. Cool and pleasant by day, and dazzlingly lit at night, it's breathtaking—ideal as either the first stop or the perfect finale of your journey. The warmly lit Bund buildings and the Lujiazui skyline complement each other, showcasing the charm of old Shanghai and its future prosperity. After the tour, your driver and guide will safely take you back to the designated location.
