  Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids

  First, your tour guide will pick you up from your requested location to begin your journey through three of Egypt’s most fascinating ancient necropolises. The tour starts at Saqqara, where you will visit the famous Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world’s earliest colossal stone building. Built during the 3rd Dynasty and designed by Imhotep for King Djoser, this remarkable pyramid represents a major breakthrough in ancient Egyptian architecture and served as the foundation for the development of later pyramids.

  Step Pyramid of Djoser

  The Step Pyramid of Djoser is the oldest large-scale stone structure in the world, dating back to around 2670 BC. This extraordinary monument stands as one of the greatest achievements of ancient Egyptian civilization and marks the beginning of pyramid construction in Egypt. The pyramid is part of a vast funerary complex that includes the Colonnaded Entrance, Sed Festival Courtyard, Enclosure Wall, North and South Pavilions, the Southern Tomb, and thousands of surrounding tombs.   Pyramids of Dahshour

  The tour then continues to Dahshur, home to some of Egypt’s most remarkable pyramids, including the famous Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid. Dahshur played a crucial role in the evolution of pyramid construction, representing an important transitional stage from step-sided pyramids to smooth-sided pyramids. Built during the reign of King Sneferu between 2613 and 2589 BC, these pyramids are among the oldest, largest, and best-preserved pyramids in Egypt. The Bent Pyramid is famous for its unique change in angle, reflecting early architectural experimentation, while the Red Pyramid is recognized as Egypt’s first successful true smooth-sided pyramid. Time spent at each site is flexible and can be adjusted according to travelers’ preferences.

  The Red Pyramid, also known as the North Pyramid, is considered the first successful true smooth-sided pyramid in ancient Egyptian history. Built during the reign of King Sneferu, it marks a major breakthrough in pyramid construction and represents the transition to the classic pyramid الشكل known today. The pyramid gets its name from the reddish hue of its limestone blocks, which create a distinctive appearance, especially under sunlight. Visitors also have the opportunity to enter the pyramid and explore its interior chambers, with entrance included in the site ticket at no additional cost.

  Bent Pyramid

  The Bent Pyramid is a unique example of early pyramid development in Egypt and was the second pyramid built by King Sneferu. The Bent Pyramid is also considered one of the best-preserved pyramids in Egypt and is the only pyramid that still retains much of its original outer limestone casing in remarkably good condition. Visitors have the opportunity to enter the pyramid and explore its interior chambers, offering a rare and unforgettable experience. Please note that entering the pyramid can be physically demanding, as the passageways are narrow and steep. If you are claustrophobic or have health concerns, it is recommended not to enter. A reasonable level of fitness is required for this experience.

Founded by King Menes around 3100 BC, Memphis served as the political and administrative center during the Old Kingdom, the golden age of pyramid building. It was the seat of power for the pharaohs who built the great pyramids and played a central role in shaping ancient Egyptian civilization. During your visit, you will explore remarkable remains of this historic city, including the colossal statue of Ramesses II and the impressive Alabaster Sphinx, along with other fascinating ruins that reflect the glory of this once-powerful capital.

  Mit Rahina Museum

  Visit Mit Rahina Museum, home to the world-famous colossal statue of Ramesses II, one of the greatest pharaohs in ancient Egyptian history. The sphinx is believed by some scholars to represent Hatshepsut or possibly another royal figure from ancient Egypt.
