Create a unique Goshuin-style card or hanging scroll while diving into the art of Japanese calligraphy. This beginner-friendly experience starts with learning to rub ink sticks and grip a fude brush, followed by warm-up exercises with circles and lines. After practicing a few times, you'll decorate your work with traditional Japanese stamps and add your name in Japanese. The instructor will elegantly write the date for you, making your work truly special. (If the reservation is for 3 or more people, the date is written in advance.) Capture the moment by posing with your masterpiece against a stunning Japanese painting backdrop before taking it home in a beautiful paper box.

What to expect

Create a Goshuin-style work with Japanese calligraphy in Nara. If you wish, you can get a card with your name written in kanji, please send a message with your name when you make your reservation. This is an instructor lead course. Duration is approximately 50minutes.
