Discover the stunning landscapes of Wadi Rum on a full-day jeep tour. Enjoy breathtaking views as we explore iconic sites like Lawrence Spring, Khazali Canyon, and the Mushroom Rock. I will share insights into the rich history and culture of the Bedouin communities in area - my family. Take a break and visit some of my family at their Bedouin home camp to savor a traditional Jordanian lunch, learn about animal-rearing in the desert, and witness authentic Bedouin life.
As the day comes to an end, we'll walk through Khasaba canyon and drive to reach Um Sabatah, renowned for its sweeping desert views and breathtaking sunsets. As we enjoy the golden colors, sip a traditional Bedouin tea by the fire and soak in the magical atmosphere
- Full-day jeep tour exploring Wadi Rum's most famous landmarks
- Traditional lunch prepared at a Bedouin home camp
- Suitable for all activity levels, with a maximum of 6 guests per jeep
- Optional camel ride and overnight stay available at Khaled's Camp
We'll visit a small natural spring said to be used by Lawrence of Arabia, offering great views and a glimpse of how my people and their animals found water in the desert over centuries.
I'll drive us by 4x4 jeep to a tall, soft dune of deep red sand where you can climb for sweeping views or slide down for fun - rumored to have appeared in several blockbuster films
Our next stop is a shaded narrow canyon with ancient petroglyphs on its walls and cool, shaded passages to explore. Ill guide you through the canyon and point out notable inscriptions
We'll walk up to a short, easy-to-reach natural rock arch that’s perfect for photos and quick climbs
We end the morning at Lawrence house, remains of Lawrence’s desert base, with breathtaking views and a glimpse into Wadi Rum’s history
Lunch is the most special part of our tour. I'll take you to visit some of my family at their Bedouin camp while I make you lunch. You'll get a glimpse of animal-rearing in the desert and learn more about what a nomadic and seasonal lifestyle looks like in practice. This is the most authentic way to experience traditional Bedouin life and is not something many tourists do while visiting Wadi Rum - it is the most important part of this tour for me. Lunch will also be delicious! One of the highlights is Galayet Bandora, a traditional Jordanian Bedouin dish made of tomatoes, olive oil, onions, and spices, served with fresh bread. You'll eat, chat, and see a new side of the desert
After lunch we head to Mushroom Rock, famous rock formation shaped like a giant mushroom created by centuries of wind erosion
Continue onto the Burdah rock bridge viewpoint, one of the most spectacular formations in Wadi Rum. This arch towers over the desert floor - but makes for some of the best views and pictures
Then we walk through Abu Khashaba canyon (30–45 min hike), a peaceful walking canyon with soft sand, shaded spots, and beautiful rock walls on both sides, while the jeep meets you at the other side
Next stop is Um Fruth rock bridge, where you can climb for amazing photos. Then we stop by Chicken Rock, a quirky rock formation shaped like a chicken, adding a lighthearted stop on your Wadi Rum adventure
As the day comes to an end, we reach Um Sabatah, renowned for its sweeping desert views and breathtaking sunsets. As we enjoy the golden colors over the soft sand, sip a traditional Bedouin tea by the fire and soak in the magical atmosphere. After this unforgettable desert moment, we drive back to Wadi Rum Village
