The El Jem Amphitheatre is one of the best-preserved Roman monuments in the world and one of the most impressive in North Africa. Built in the 3rd century during the Roman Empire, it could accommodate around 35,000 spectators. This monumental structure was mainly used for gladiator fights and public spectacles. Its massive architecture, majestic arches, and underground corridors reflect the greatness of Roman civilization in Tunisia. Today listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visitors can climb the seating tiers, explore the underground galleries, and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views.
