Complimentary pickup is available from Puerto Maldonado Airport, Bus Terminal, and hotels within Puerto Maldonado city. Please provide your arrival flight details, bus information, or hotel name when booking. Our team will confirm your pickup time before your tour. If your accommodation is outside the pickup area, we will arrange a convenient meeting point. Please be ready at the agreed pickup location at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time.
Upon arrival at Puerto Maldonado Airport or Bus Terminal, meet your guide and transfer to the local office. Unnecessary luggage can be stored before continuing to the river port. Board a motorized boat for approximately 40 minutes along the Madre de Dios River to reach the lodge. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink, receive a short briefing about your stay, and check in to your private bungalow. Lunch will be served before some free time to relax.
In the afternoon, join a guided walk through the rainforest surrounding the lodge. Learn about native trees, medicinal plants, and the diverse ecosystems of the Amazon. Along the trail, your guide will help identify birds, insects, and other wildlife that may be present. Wildlife observations vary depending on weather and natural conditions. After sunset, enjoy a guided boat excursion along the Madre de Dios River in search of nocturnal wildlife. Depending on natural conditions, you may observe caimans and other species active during the evening. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Begin the day early with a light breakfast before traveling by boat to the entrance of Tambopata National Reserve. After a guided walk through the rainforest, arrive at Sandoval Lake, where you will explore the calm waters by rowing canoe. Your guide will help you look for birds, monkeys, giant river otters, caimans, turtles, and other wildlife whenever conditions allow. Enjoy breakfast at a designated rest area before returning along the trail. Please note: Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Continue to Monkey Island, where several monkey species may be observed in their natural habitat. Your guide will explain their behavior and the importance of protecting the local ecosystem. Visitors should always follow the guide's instructions and avoid feeding or disturbing wildlife. Return to the lodge for lunch and enjoy free time to relax and take advantage of the lodge facilities before dinner.
Depart early in the morning to visit La Cachuela Parrot Clay Lick. During the excursion, you may observe parrots and parakeets visiting the natural clay bank, where they feed on mineral-rich clay as part of their natural behavior. Bird activity varies according to weather, season, and natural wildlife conditions.
Return to the lodge for breakfast before traveling back by boat to Puerto Maldonado. Upon arrival, transfer to the airport or bus terminal according to your departure schedule.
