The High Letters Essential is designed for cyclists looking to conquer one of the most iconic climbs in the world without distractions.
The main challenge is concentrated on an epic day: more than 80 km of continuous ascent and about 3,800 meters of elevation, from the heat of Mariquita to the cold of the Andean moor. All with the backing of professional mechanical support, accompanying vehicle and premium accommodation at Casa de Campo La Giralda in Mariquita.

This is not just a place to stay – it is where the preparation starts. Here you can rest, fine tune your bike and mentalize for the conquest of the Alto de Letras, surrounded by a natural and quiet environment for cyclists. Today is the day that defines this experience: the conquest of the High Letters. You’ll face one of the most legendary ascents of world cycling — a true rite of passage that has trained some of the world’s best cyclists. From the tropical heat of Mariquita to the cold of the Andean moor, every kilometer requires perseverance, strategy and determination. The route covers approximately 80 km of continuous ascent, reaching about 3,800 meters and crossing multiple climatic zones in one of the longest climbs in the world. *Optional: via Lebanon-Murillo. Short recovery ride: Mariquita - Armero - Mariquita, 56 km to let go of the legs. The challenge is complete. After conquering the High Letters, it is time to rest and close an unforgettable crossing.
