    Morning Snowshoe: We start with a snowshoe trek in either Peter Lougheed or Spray Valley Provincial Park. We undertake a low-angle, forested trail, perfect for finding deep powder without having to navigate steep, complicated winter terrain. Activity snapshot: Distance: 4km – 8km Elevation Gain: 30m – 150m Duration: 2hrs – 3hrs

    Afternoon Frozen Falls: After lunch and hot chocolate, we move on to Troll Falls. The waterfalls here freeze into massive pillars of ice while you can still hear the gargle of moving water underneath. We’ll swap snowshoes for ice cleats to safely navigate the trails around the falls. Activity snapshot: Distance: 4km – 6km Elevation Gain: 100m – 230m Duration: 1.5hrs – 2hrs

    Highway 40: The day's adventure takes us onto Highway 40, south towards Highwood Pass – the highest paved road in Canada at 2,206m. Single lane in each direction and much quieter than the main highway to Banff, the drive along the route is world-class – offering towering mountain views on all sides and frequent wildlife sightings.
