Surfing takes on a new meaning with Bombora Surf School, where inclusivity meets expert coaching. Designed for surfers with mobility or cognitive disabilities, each lesson is tailored to provide enhanced support while connecting with the ocean. Under the guidance of Zane Silvester, a professional sponsored surfer and experienced coach, participants benefit from a unique blend of high-performance technique training and cultural integration. The sessions, set against the stunning backdrop of Tallebudgera and Palm Beach, emphasize safety, skill-building, and a passion for empowering surfers of all abilities.

What to expect

Meet your Bombora Surf School coaches at the beach and get set up with the appropriate equipment, including adaptive surfboards if required. The session begins with a safety briefing, ocean awareness guidance and a gentle land-based warm-up with an introduction to surf techniques.

Once in the water, you’ll receive hands-on coaching from Surfing Australia–accredited instructors, with lessons adapted to your ability and needs. Coaches provide close support, encouragement and personalised guidance to help you paddle, catch waves and ride safely and confidently in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Throughout the session, you’ll build surf skills, water confidence and ocean knowledge while enjoying a safe, culturally grounded experience designed for all abilities.
